New Paragraph

COVID - 19 has been such a strange time for us all and especially for those who are vulnerable and cannot go out. So when the people living at Mewsbrook House asked us the question, "why can't the shop come to us?" we thought well why not.

Despite the Covid - 19 and unsettled weather we decided to create a purpose built, double aspect, fenced off Barbeque, and it was finished just in time to celebrate with a

Barbeque Grand Opening in June when the sun shone on us beautifully.

Any one for Hot Dog?

Nobody at Mewsbrook let's a little bit of Covid-19 get us down.
Easter 2020 -
Our exciting Barbecue was a smash hit for everyone and the weather certainly shone down on us.
Everyone had a great time regardless of what was happening in the wider world with the Covid - 19 situation starting.
The Care Quality Commission visited us again in October 2019 and were very pleased with the work being done. Apart from a bit of decorating we just missed getting our good back so it's onwards and upwards with the paintbrush and roller in hand.
A visit from the Environmental Health Officer has kept Mewsbrook's on track with our continued 5 star Food Hygiene rating confirmed.
Another visit from the Fire Inspector from West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service has left us again with a clean sheet.
Safety is always our paramount concern.

Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee

Jubilee weekend did not go un-noticed at Mewsbrook House with our celebrations including a Jubilee tea party with beautiful cupcakes made by our very own Senior carer Theresha. Entertainment was supplied by the wonderful Zoe and everyone had fun.

At Mewsbrook we take pride in our ability to support people with a wide range of needs and problems and to achieve this we complete some very in-depth training including the wonderful Dementia Virtual Tour Bus via Train2Care who came to us recently. Everyone attended and found it so enlightening to experience life as a person living with Dementia, albeit only for 8 minutes, but that made a difference to us all.

West Sussex Partners in Care -

West Sussex Care Accolades

The West Sussex Care Accolades was a fantastic evening held at the Chichester Park Hotel, by West Sussex Partners in Care where our amazing Joely Dighton was awarded 1st Place in the Care Worker Award section.

Nothing less than she deserves. Well done Jo xx
