COVID - 19

COVID-19

We have all been through an unprecedented experience never seen before and hopefully never to be seen again with the arrival of the Coronavirus.

It has taken friends, family and complete strangers from us and not one of us has been unaffected by it's presence.

We at Mewsbrook House have taken the Covid-19 situation very seriously going into voluntary lock-down before the Government guidelines suggested it as a good idea, and we were in the forefront when it came to implementing our PPE Policy.

The Manager and Director felt it vital to support our staff through what is a scary time and therefore we invested in our staff and the home to ensure we remained safe to keep your loved ones safe.

We are proud to hold the accolade for remaining Covid-19 free throughout the entire time and through weekly staff and monthly resident Covid-19 testing we aim to remain that way.

We are now open for Garden visiting on an appointment basis only with full PPE used, and in the event of bad weather conditions we have made our meeting room available for access from the garden for visitors.

When you arrive you will be greeted with our new Thermal Fever Scanner which you will be asked to look into for a temperature check. This fever scanner continues into our lounge area where a camera is running 24/7 monitoring the temperature of all those that pass by enabling us to identify an increase in a persons temperature and potential for an infection very quickly.
